Mr. Alexander is the Director of Elementary Economics and a graduate from Loyola Marymount University in 1988.
His first job was as an underwriter for the CIT division of Manufacturers Hanover Bank.
From there he moved to Sanwa Bank of Tokyo, increasing his exposure to large, Capital Markets loans.
Mr. Alexander was hired there specifically to become one of the nation’s first, full-time inventory appraisers. Here he became active in training at all levels of the bank, after drafting the lending guidelines for using inventories as collateral.
Mr. Alexander became active in training and active with trade associations. He has published papers in the Asset Based Journal as well as the Secured Lender, a magazine from the Secured Finance Network.
After Sanwa, Mr. Alexander joined The Mentor Group (Mentor) in the mid 1990’s. He remained there for the next three decades and became the Head of Collateral Services for Mentor.
In addition to valuing inventories for a variety of purposes, lending, sales, allocations, etc., he also performs traditional asset-based lending reviews. As a separate service, Elementary Economics (EE) can value receivables. A collateral exam is not intended to be a statement of value for either receivables or inventories.
Mr. Alexander has more than 30 years' experience in providing valuation and advisory services.
Elementary Economics has professionals on staff for valuing real estate, intangibles, machinery and equipment, as well as other services.
